Essential Hawaii Tourist Advice - is necessary to protect yourself on holiday

There was a newspaper in Honolulu recently, the same sad story written by a visitor to Hawaii. I see the same letter several times a year. The story is almost exactly the same. The only difference is the author.

The visitors came to Hawaii for a vacation in Hawaii, had a wonderful time, people were great, the weather was fabulous, he really felt the spirit of Aloha. Then: disaster. They ripped off. They lost everything. TheirLuggage, their cameras, their wallets, their money, valuables. All in a short time away.

It 's the same sad story over and over.

The saddest part of the story is this disaster was totally avoidable. Completely.

Let me explain: in the most recent version of this letter, the tourists just had a wonderful holiday. They had a late flight and decided to stop at Ala Moana (a large shopping mall) for a dinner late at night before theirDeparture. Just closed their hire car and went to a quick dinner to enjoy before their flight to board. They were on the car for less than an hour.

Here's what happens when the meal: a thief broke into her car and took everything.

Needless to say, the family has been destroyed. They were both sad and shocked. The writer goes on to explain the whole family can never go back to Hawaii. You will also deter any otherfrom vacation in Hawaii.

I'm really angry and frustrated that none of the rental car agent used their hotel to other people you have met, "said the dirty little secret of Hawaii: It 's a very small but dangerous group of indigenous people whose full time job is to steal by someone.

I live in Hawaii and I follow this rule: never leave anything valuable in my car. Never.

Do not get me wrong, I do not think Hawaii is differentfrom anywhere else. You can find the same small group of dangerous rip-off artists everywhere you go. But just because you're in one of the most beautiful places on the planet leave is not that they are criminals.

Listen: these creeps know that the only person who could drive a car, is a tourist. These bad guys know the make and model of every car.

Believe me, the car sends a rogue model would be saying, "Steal thisAuto. "It 's like a strobe light and an arrow pointing in the air directly to your machine." Beep Beep. Flash Flash. Valuables in it! Steal this car now "

Play: There are literally thousands of cars at Ala Moana Park at any time. What do you think of the possibility of these boys are found to break a car accident?

This was not a random act. This was planned and calculated. The car was there less than an hour. This was an opportunity offender. EUnfortunately, it is just these cockroaches with new luggage, clothing and souvenirs rewarded. So now the next time they see a tourist rental car, which will break again.

Sure, I agree there are more security and more police patrols and tougher penalties for criminals should.

But the best thing you can do is follow this advice:

Never, never, never leave anything of value in a rental car.

Never, ever.

This is one of those times, such as prevention ozis worth a ton of cure. Be proactive. Be smart. You need to listen to the bad guys before they act.

This advice will save you a lot of pain to the heart. If these victims have had their luggage with them to the food court, a con man would break into a car empty. Or it could simply have checked in their luggage, and ate at the airport.

So if you come to Hawaii all, but not before turning back to the sea. And do not leave anything of value in acar rental. This is going to the beach, go shopping or even stop somewhere for a lunch dish. Only you do!

So now you know. If my rant saves torn fewer tourists before: I will be happy!
