Although all Hawaii 'Iceland islands formed by volcanic activity, only one, Hawaii, better known as "continues to grow with the ongoing volcanic activity today. On the southern tip of the island visitors can explore the Big Island National Park des Volcans, home of Kilauea, an active volcano flowing. Kilauea has been erupting and slow addition of active Big Country Iceland from Hawaii in the last 26 years.
The island of Hawaii wasformed by five volcanoes, Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, Mauna Loa and Kilauea as tectonic plates moved in the ocean "hot spots". The Kohala volcano, now dormant, is the oldest and probably the sea about 500,000 years ago. Mauna Kea means "white mountain," even if they are classified as dormant, could erupt again at some point in the future. It is the largest of the volcanoes of Hawaii. It was believed to have last erupted about 4,500 years ago. The surface of theMountain is home to many observers and is considered one of the best astronomical observation points on Earth. The third is near the volcano Hualalai Kona on the west side of the island.
Hualalai has been very active in 1700, adding a lot of new lava on the west side of the 'island with six openings. Hualalai is expected to finally break out again in the next 100 years. Mauna Loa is the second most active volcano on the island. Historically, it used tobreak out once a decade, but since 1950 the eruption was only in 1975 and 1984 broke out. Scientists believe that now is of another eruption of the volcano and to monitor the seismic activity all the time. The fifth and youngest volcano Kilauea is located on the south-east of the island.
Kilauea is one of the most active volcanoes on Earth. On January 3, 1983, a so-called East Rift eruption of lava Pu'u'O'o started leaking continuously towards the southern part of the 'islandExtension to the sea. The steady stream of lava with 8 miles of highway 130, a famous temple in 700 years, Hawaiian heiau called Waha'ulu indoor pool and a popular black sand beach. Flows also destroyed 181 houses in the village of Kalapana in 1991 and the Waha'ula Visitor Center in Volcanoes National Park
Today, visitors to the Volcanoes National Park on the south side of the 'island is still an active volcano and learn its effects on the' islandof Hawaii. And 'where Kilauea is two in various places break continued. A flow of lava in the crater basin Halema'uma'u. to see this break out the window and the courtyard of the house and also from the volcano crater at the Jagger Museum Road. In 2007, the opening of new Pu'u'O'o developed a new vent and began to descend toward the sea 12 miles east of the summit and outside the national park.
The flow of steam when it into the lava flowOcean are visible day and night, the flow of orange lights on the slope of the hill like lava down the mountain for its slow and deliberate decent to the sea. lava flows and information on conditions of civil servants available to the Park Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center.
